What makes a healthy snack?
A healthy snack has a good balance of carbohydrates, proteins, fats, and fiber. The average nutritional value of carbohydrates should be between 45% and 60%, of proteins between 10% and 30%, and of fat between 20% and 30%. The latter should contain a particularly high proportion of unsaturated fats.
PANGAVI specializes in exactly such healthy yet delicious snacks.
So what do I need to pay attention to if I need a healthy snack between meals?
In general, a healthy snack contains natural and unprocessed ingredients, such as nuts. Furthermore, it's important that a snack provides energy without causing drastic blood sugar fluctuations. Severe blood sugar fluctuations can lead to short-term symptoms such as hunger, tremors, and nausea. In the long term, they can lead to cardiovascular problems, among other things.
A healthy snack should therefore support satiety and prevent cravings. It should also be free of artificial additives and be free of trans fats and excessive sugar.
All of these points are the most important basis for PANGAVI in the development of our snacks.
Why does PANGAVI avoid refined sugar and use dates for sweetening?
We avoid refined sugar and instead use the sweetness of dates. Dates have a lower glycemic index than refined sugar, helping to stabilize blood sugar levels. Dates also contain natural nutrients such as fiber, minerals (especially potassium, magnesium, and iron), and vitamins (especially B vitamins). The excellent combination of sweetness and nutritional value makes dates the ideal ingredient in healthy snacks.
Why are the nuts in PANGAVI products so healthy?
Another important ingredient in our products is nuts.
Nuts are rich in healthy fats such as unsaturated fatty acids and omega-3 fatty acids. They contain a lot of plant-based protein. These proteins are important for maintaining muscle strength and for maintaining satiety. Nuts are an important source of magnesium, zinc, vitamin E, and antioxidants. They support heart and brain health.
Why does PANGAVI avoid oatmeal and use legumes instead?
Pulses are very rich in fiber and thus support our digestion. Like nuts, pulses provide many important and healthy proteins, a perfect source of protein for everyone. They are rich in complex carbohydrates and therefore provide a slow release of energy.
Legumes contain important minerals such as iron, folic acid and potassium.
Many manufacturers of healthy snacks use oatmeal in their products. At Pangavi, we have decided to forgo oatmeal altogether and follow the Ayurvedic diet. Ayurvedic cuisine uses a lot of pulses, and we have adopted this approach as our own. We roast and grind our beans and lentils ourselves, thus ensuring high quality and gentle processing.
PANGAVI harnesses the immense benefits of date sweetness, nuts and pulses, combines them and creates an unforgettable taste experience.
Our product range includes a growing selection of different flavors.
